Nicky's information

Nicky has been a member of Wight Cardiac Rehab since 2023. Currently she works for Currys and has done for the last 37 years, many of you will know her from the Thursday morning class. She has two grown up Children and enjoys walking with her dogs.

Nicky was born with a Bicuspid Aortic valve which was diagnosed at birth. Following one of her yearly check-ups it was discovered she had an Aortic aneurysm and was closely monitored until in 2023 it reached 5cm and she underwent surgery to repair the Aorta and replace the valve. This led Nicky to meeting Lyn through her rehab sessions and she has continued with classes, which in turn have given her greater confidence to be more active. 

Nicky says ”it has been very positive for me to meet so many people with similiar experiences and I hope that by becoming a trustee I can further support the Charity and make a difference”
